I have realized that I really only enjoy writing reviews for books I loved, books I hated, and books that were SO close to being amazing, but did not get there. Within the realm of novels, especially of the romance variety, there are so many books that are simply fine. They’re a fun little read but didn’t really make me feel anything for the characters. This Book Was Fine is a monthly segment I will be doing so I can place those books somewhere. If you have any comments or want a longer review, feel free to let me know.

Despite rating this 4/5 stars I can’t remember that much about it. I do remember really enjoying some of the moments between the main characters and their hotel attendees. I however think some of the backstories to the love story fell flat. I hate the whole “I liked you all along” without any interactions to back it up.

Rating: ⭐
I read like half of this book and all of it was pointless. I think if the writing was good and didn’t have so much pointless filler and actually built the relationship between the characters it could have been good.

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐.5
I thought this book was cute, I think I would have enjoyed more will they/won’t they in regards to their first kiss etc. However, I just enjoy yearning. The end made up for the fact that he was pretty aloof, but I enjoyed that the MMC kept inviting her to join his excursions. The end saved this book I loved his letter and grand gesture.

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐️
This book gets four stars for the level of yearning alone. However, I wish it was a little more enemies to lovers on her end, and I wish there was more side plot. It was a good romance novel, but I would have liked her to care a little more about her own life other than him, she was funny but otherwise kinda felt like a cardboard cutout of a person, only diving into a few layers.

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐️
The only reason I’m not doing a full review on this book is because I have violent brain fog at the moment and I can’t rehash an entire book this week unless I take notes on it. I I hate how certain key points were not raised from Naomi to Lucas and they felt like plot holes/ loose ends I didn’t love, but the story itself was enjoyable.

Rating: ⭐⭐.5
I don’t know how I got through this whole book. It wasn’t bad but it was far too predictable and could have been at least 100 pages shorter. The story was cute but I think the approach to how it was told was boring.

Rating: ⭐⭐
This book could have been good but was so blandly mediocre so here it is.

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐
Cliche, not enough character development, dropped the enemies part way too soon.
