I’ve been trying to reach 500 life books since around 2022. On Goodreads, I’ve logged almost every book I can remember reading since childhood (only the ones that really count as books). What’s been slowing me down is how often I re-read. I’m a comfort reader. When life is hard or my thoughts get too loud, I always go back to familiar favorites.
Right now, I’ve got some brain fog, so bear with me. I wanted to give my re-reads their own space. I doubt anyone really needs full blog posts about them, most people just read whatever I put out without expecting much more. But if you do want to know how I feel about these books in more depth, let me know in the comments.
Every once in a while, I’ll probably write longer reviews of re-reads just because I want to. I can see myself doing this for all of Emily Henry’s books, Percy Jackson, Harry Potter, The Hunger Games, and The Summer I Turned Pretty series, since those are my ultimate comfort series. Until the mood strikes for a full re-read, though, here are some of the books I love that I’ve picked up again recently.

The writing duo of Christina Lauren rarely misses and this book is no different. I love this series, and yes I re-read this book first completely forgetting the order of the companion novels, but loved it just as much. I actually like this more than the soulmate equation. It is funny and raw and I’m obsessed per usual. I LOVE yearning in a man hehe.

I love this novel as well. Realistically the only reason this has four stars vs the five of the true love experiment is because I think that Dr Peña should have GROVELED for Jess after the third act breakup. Like fully groveled, and she should have made him.

I still really love this book. Mariana Zapata specializes in TRUE slow burn. Like the slowest of burn you could imagine. I love the dynamic and how the story is not just about the romance.
